Attractions Near Delta Shores

Vista Resorts has two magnificent properties in Northern California.  Delta Shores Resort & Marina, located in Isleton on the famous “Delta Loop,” offers many excellent regional activities.

The Sacramento River Delta has tons of outdoor exploration opportunities, including boating, bird watching, camping and more.

The Scenic Delta Loop is a great way to see the sights. Starting in Rio Vista, head north and make a large clockwise loop. Areas to visit on this route include:

Grand Island Mansion
Grand Island Mansion is a wonderful spot for lunch; once the largest private homes in the area, it is four stories tall with over 50 rooms. The mansion is a very popular place for weddings.

Delta Fishing
Isleton hosts a popular Crawdad Festival in June. Originally founded in 1874, it served as a supply station for gold miners heading up the river.

Anglers will love fishing here. Find bluegill, bass, catfish and shad. Salmon and sturgeon run through the Delta and of course, crawdads.

Delta Shores Resort
While you enjoy your vacation at Delta Shores Resort, stay in campsites near the waterway. Explore day use options at Brannan Island, including windsurfing, picnicking, shade structures, and restrooms.  Franks Tract State Recreation Area is located southeast of Brannan Island and is a favorite of fishing enthusiasts and waterfowl hunters.

Lodi Wine Appellation
A vibrant wine-tasting scene in Lodi and the surrounding areas makes for a fun stop during your Delta visit. Experience the Delta terroir and enjoy fine dining and wine tasting as well as food and wine pairings from farm to
table.

Geese
Abundant waterways and various habitats make the Delta a paradise for bird watching. Part of the Great Pacific Flyway, it attracts birds migrating from Alaska to Mexico. Get out on the water with a guide and a fun atmosphere on a River Cruise. Most cruises have a naturalist or guide on board who shares with you the sights, wildlife and historic importance as you pass.

Visitors can enjoy sightseeing, fun and educational tours at local famous businesses Anheuser Bush Beer Factory and Jelly Belly Candy Factory, both in nearby Fairfield, CA.

Please call ahead to these businesses for more information about tours, days and times.

Come to Delta Shores Resort for all this and more.
